This Independence Day, I had the honor of being the Chief Guest at an inspiring event organized by Goodwill Trust and Nature Research Foundation at Vivekanandha Vidhalaya Matriculation School, Padi. The students, dressed as freedom fighters, added a patriotic spirit to the day! The program focused on vital topics like the impact of plastics on health, ecosystems, and marine life. We discussed types of plastics, biodegradable options, and recycling, with engaging quizzes and practical demonstrations.
70 enthusiastic students participated and received stationery gift pouches as tokens of encouragement. This session has equipped them with valuable knowledge to help combat plastic usage.
As we celebrate 78 years of independence, let’s pledge to achieve zero plastic usage by our 100th year and ensure a cleaner, plastic-free environment for future generations.
